  • About us | Care Finder Assist

Discover the story behind Care Finder Assist. With 30+ years in care, we’re here to make choosing the right care easier, clearer, and kinder. About us Finding the right care shouldn’t be hard. We get it, navigating the care system can feel overwhelming, emotional, and exhausting. That’s exactly why we started Care Finder Assist (CFA), to make the process easier, more compassionate, and stress-free. We’re Raaj and Sonia , a husband-and-wife team with over 30 years of combined experience in social care. We’ve been on both sides, helping families find care and supporting providers to deliver it. We know how much is at stake, and we’re here to make sure you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Why we do this I’m Raaj, and I’ve spent over 15 years managing residential homes, domiciliary care, and specialist services for people with dementia, autism, and complex needs like Prader-Willi syndrome. I’ve turned around struggling care services, built new ones from the ground up, and worked closely with teams to create positive workplace cultures. I know how hard it is for care managers to juggle everything, compliance, policies, marketing and daily operations, while still trying to provide the best possible care. I’ve seen amazing care providers struggle to reach the right clients and families struggling to find the right support. At CFA, I’m determined to bring them together, ensuring care is accessible, effective, and right for everyone. I’m Sonia, and my background is in psychology and social work. I have a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Social Work with experience spanning across supported living, residential care, social work assessments, and charitable support for families in crisis. I’ve seen how overwhelming the care system can be for families when they don’t meet rigid eligibility criteria. Too often, people fall through the cracks, left to navigate complex decisions on their own. The emotional, physical, and financial strain can be overwhelming, often leading to burnout and a diminished quality of life for everyone involved. That’s why I’m so passionate about what we do - I know how stressful and emotional this journey can be, but I also know that the right support changes everything. My goal is to take the pressure off families by ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident in their choices. At CFA, my goal is simple: to make finding the right care easier, so no one has to go through it alone. What we do We created Care Finder Assist because we saw gaps in the system and knew we could help. For families: We’ll guide you through your options, help you find the right care, and take the stress off your shoulders enabling you to make informed decisions about your loved ones care. For care providers: We’ll connect you with the right clients and give you meaningful feedback you need to grow and improve your services for the people that matter most. At the heart of it, we believe care should work for everyone ; families, providers, and most importantly, the people receiving it. Lets find the right care together. We gain a deep understanding of your loved one’s needs and preferences. This allows us to match you with the best care options, ensuring the right fit from the start. We consider: Care needs – Medical, personal, and daily requirements The right environment – Location, accessibility, and comfort Lifestyle & interests – Social connections, hobbies, and routines Family involvement – Keeping loved ones engaged and connected Cultural and religious preferences - Respecting tradition, language and values. Expectations & transparency – No surprises, just the right fit STEP 2: Research and shortlist We take the stress out of choosing care by handling the due diligence for you. Our experienced approach saves you time and research overwhelm. Our insights go deeper than generic findings, giving you clear and meaningful information relevant to your needs, so you can make your final choice with confidence. You'll receive an easy-to-read report with carefully selected options that best match your needs, along with expert guidance to support you every step of the way. Use this to improve your services with confidence not guesswork - and showcase positive feedback to strengthen your reputation. Support when notice needs to be served When placements end or needs change, CFA supports families through the transition - protecting your time, resources, and reputation at challenging moments. CFA Care Directory A dedicated, companion style, resource for providers to find trusted suppliers, services, and enrichment options, helping you run your service more efficiently and enrich the lives of those you care for. In short: CFA gives you better-matched families, valuable insights, and practical support, so you can focus on delivering the very best care. How do we get access to the provider support services? It’s easy. Simply request our Readiness Terms Agreement, and we’ll add you to the CFA Ready database . Once registered, you’ll be included in the feedback loop and will start receiving relevant updates as we get them, along with news of any CFA promotions or developments. We’ll also send you our rates card with the readiness agreement, so you have full transparency on placement fees before you begin. Joining is completely free and ensures you don’t miss opportunities to save time, protect resources, and strengthen relationships with families . We welcome your input too. You can: Give us feedback. Keep us up to date with what’s new or challenging in your service. Tell us how we can better prepare families for your service. Suggest what services or suppliers you need or like to see added to the CFA Directory. We encourage a two-way relationship designed to help you get the best from our service, so you can do your best for those you care for. Do we still complete our own assessments? Yes — always. CFA assessments are shared (with consent) to support, not replace, your process. Do you interfere with care delivery? No. CFA does not attend visits, manage care, or interact during delivery. Our aftercare supports families, not providers. Is CFA GDPR compliant? Yes. All data is shared with full consent. Policies available on request. Are providers promoted or prioritised? No. CFA remains strictly impartial. Will families lean on CFA instead of our team? No. CFA prepares them, then steps back. We help them build stronger relationships with your team. Do we need one agreement per site? No. One group-wide agreement is fine unless you request site-level terms. What’s the fee model? An administrative fee payable for successful placements. This is a fair and fixed percentage based fee applied across all service providers. No unqualified leads, listings or subscriptions. A tiered refund structure is in place for unforeseeable circumstances (terms apply). How do we integrate this with our CRM? We use simple formats (PDF, Word) that can be uploaded or attached to your system. No tech integration needed. How does CFA use its internal provider database, and why does it matter? Transparency is everything to us. Here’s what you should know: At CFA, every care search starts from scratch based on your unique needs. Providers not in our database are never excluded. So why do we have a provider database? ✅ For efficiency, not shortlisting We only refer to it after you’ve shortlisted providers, to make sure they’re responsive and ready to work with us, helping reduce delays and admin. ✅ To amplify your feedback With your permission, we anonymously share relevant feedback with providers, even those not selected, to help raise care standards. ✅ To keep information current Providers can update us in real-time, so you get the most accurate info without relying on outdated websites. In short: Our database helps us support you better after your choice is made, never before. It ensures the help you receive is timely, unbiased, and focused on your loved one’s best interests.
